India does not have one New Year. Gujarat starts Vikram Samvat with Bestu Varas the week of Diwali, Maharashtra and Karnataka follow with Gudi Padwa and Ugadi in spring, Tamil Nadu and Kerala have their own new years in mid-April, Punjab celebrates Baisakhi, and the whole country also toasts 1 January. Bestu Varas 2026 falls on Tuesday 10 November, right after Diwali on Sunday 8 November, and Happy New Year 2027 is eight weeks out, so one prompt set can cover the office card this month and the January card too.

These ten AI Indian New Year image prompts are built for that reality. Each is copy-paste ready, generates text-free artwork you finish in an editor, and notes the ratio and follow-up edit. Run them in text to image or the free AI image generator, using the workflow in our how-to guide. The year always goes in your overlaid greeting, never in the generated art, so the same prompts work every year.

If your audience is Gujarat-based, lead with Bestu Varas imagery: account books, torans, morning thalis. For a national office list, the Happy New Year 2027 set below travels further. Never fuse two festivals into one image; a diya plus Gudi plus fireworks reads as none of them.

How to use these prompts

  • Copy the quoted prompt whole, then replace only the bracketed name or business.
  • Generate artwork with no rendered year or greeting, then add Saal Mubarak or Happy New Year 2027 in free.edit.
  • Pick the ratio first: 4:5 for cards and posts, 9:16 for stories and WhatsApp status, 1:1 for forwards, 16:9 for banners.
  • Reuse one seed plus one palette line across a set so the week reads as one campaign.
  • Run each prompt on two models from the catalog and keep the best, since gold type and night skies render differently per model.

Bestu Varas and Gujarati New Year

1. Chopda Pujan account-book still life

New red cloth-bound account book with gold embossing beside a brass diya and marigold flowers on a wooden desk, fresh ink pot and pen nearby, warm morning light from a window, shallow depth of field, traditional Gujarati New Year Chopda Pujan still life, premium editorial photography, 4:5

Why it works: Chopda Pujan, the worship of new account books, is the defining Bestu Varas image for traders and firms. The red and gold palette reads instantly as New Year without a single word. Leave the upper third clean for Saal Mubarak added in the editor.

2. Saal Mubarak corporate card

Elegant cream background with a delicate gold toran of mango leaves and marigolds across the top, one small glowing diya at the bottom center, wide empty center for greeting text, luxury minimal Gujarati New Year card art, no text, no words, premium corporate stationery style, 4:5

Why it works: corporate Bestu Varas cards need restraint and room. The toran says the festival, the empty center holds the logo, greeting and partner names. Explicitly banning rendered text keeps ghost letters out of the cream space.

3. Gujarati New Year morning thali

Decorative thali with a lit diya, kumkum bowl, rice grains, marigold flowers and sweets on a cream silk cloth, brass kalash beside it, soft morning window light, overhead angled still life, warm and auspicious mood, detailed festive photography, 1:1

Why it works: the morning thali is the personal counterpart to the account-book corporate card. Square format makes it the best WhatsApp forward in this set. If small bowls warp, simplify with fewer items rather than re-rolling ten times.

Diwali-week New Year season

4. Diya to fireworks transition

Split scene with glowing diyas and marigold on a dark reflective surface on the lower half and gold fireworks blooming in a deep blue night sky on the upper half, luminous particles rising between the two halves, festive transition from Diwali to New Year, cinematic still, no text, 4:5

Why it works: offices that send one card for the whole season need Diwali and New Year in one frame. The rising particles connect the halves so it reads as a sequence, not a collage. Keep the center clean for a two-line greeting covering both festivals.

5. Office team greeting base

Modern Indian office lobby decorated for the festive season with marigold strings and warm fairy lights, reception desk with glowing diyas, wide empty floor and wall space in the center for a team photo, evening glow, architectural lifestyle photography, 16:9

Why it works: generate the decorated lobby, then composite your team photo into the empty center with image to image or an editor. One base serves the website banner, the LinkedIn post and the lobby screen. For the shoot itself, our ad creative workflow covers planning group shots.

Happy New Year 2027

6. Gold 2027 hero card

Luxurious dark navy background with large elegant golden 2027 numerals formed from glowing light particles, fireworks bokeh behind, marigold petals drifting in the foreground, premium New Year celebration art, cinematic lighting, centered composition with clean margins, 1:1

Why it works: year numerals are the one text exception that usually renders, because four large digits beat a sentence. If any digit warps, regenerate text-free and add 2027 in the editor instead. Gold on navy prints and forwards better than any other combination in this set.

7. Midnight skyline countdown

Indian city skyline at midnight with fireworks bursting above the rooftops, clock tower showing midnight, reflections on a river in the foreground, deep blue sky with clean space at the top for a greeting line, cinematic wide celebration shot, 16:9

Why it works: the skyline carries the countdown feeling without numerals at all, which makes it immune to text errors. The clean top band holds Happy New Year 2027 in any font you like. Generate natively at 16:9 for homepage banners and office screens.

8. Family New Year portrait base

Cozy Indian living room on New Year morning with fairy lights and marigold decor still up, sofa with festive cushions, morning light through sheer curtains, empty seating area in the center for a family photo, warm lifestyle photography, 4:5

Why it works: the morning-after look, distinct from Diwali-night gold. Families composite their photo into the seating area for a card that looks styled rather than filtered. Keep the generated base people-free so faces composite cleanly.

9. WhatsApp status greeting

Vertical festive greeting art with glowing gold diyas rising along the sides like lanterns into a starry deep blue sky, marigold petals floating, large clean empty center for a short greeting, warm bokeh, premium minimal New Year status art, no text, 9:16

Why it works: built for the 9:16 status slot with thumbs-safe margins. The empty center holds two lines, Saal Mubarak or Happy New Year 2027, without covering the lights. Export under 1 MB so it forwards fast on mobile data.

10. Minimal gold banner for business

Minimal luxury banner in cream and gold with fine mandala linework fading toward the edges, single thin gold border frame, large empty center for business greeting and logo, soft studio light, premium stationery style, no text, wide 16:9 composition

Why it works: banks, clinics, consultancies and housing societies need New Year art that is calm, not cinematic. This background holds a logo, a greeting and a sign-off with zero visual noise. Swap the greeting line and reuse it for Gudi Padwa and Ugadi in spring.

Questions about AI New Year images

  • Which greeting goes on a Bestu Varas card. Saal Mubarak with Happy New Year as the second line. For business cards add the firm name and Chopda Pujan reference from prompt 1.
  • Can I use one card for Diwali and New Year. Yes for the 8 to 14 November week. Prompt 4 is built for exactly that, with a two-line greeting covering both.
  • Why does the year keep rendering wrong. Numerals are better than words but still fragile at small sizes. Text-free art plus editor type never fails.
  • How do I keep ten cards looking like one campaign. One seed, one palette line, one border style. Prompt 10 sets the calm version, prompt 6 the celebratory one.
  • What comes after January. The spring New Years: Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, Puthandu and Baisakhi. Prompt 10 reused with a new greeting covers all of them.
  • Where do I start. Prompt 2 for a corporate Bestu Varas card or prompt 6 for a 2027 card, in the free AI image generator. Then create a free account so the keepers stay saved.
